A brief description of the IPM plan(s) :
The university grounds department uses IPM for all grounds owned and maintained by the university. The IPM plan outlines strategies for: preventing pests using cultural methods; monitoring and identifying pests using the university tree inventory; determining action thresholds using weekly IPM reports from the University of Maryland Cooperative Extension Service; and applying least toxic chemicals as a last resort.
