A brief description of the management system:
AU operates a computer-based Building Automation System that monitors and optimizes building control subsystems, including lighting, heating, cooling, ventilation, equipment scheduling, and alarm reporting. For example, when a room's temperature goes outside an established range, the energy management system alerts a facilities operator to the condition, who then responds by dispatching a technician to the site to address the problem.
