A brief description of steps taken to ensure that e-waste is recycled responsibly, workers’ basic safety is protected, and environmental standards are met:
We work with a local electronics recycler called Sunnking, which is certified under the R2 Standard, a comprehensive set of best management practices governing the environmental, health, safety and security aspects of the electronics recycling industry.

Institution-generated electronic waste is gathered at a collection point and picked up by Sunnking when it is full.

We co-sponsor a community electronic waste collection event every year. This service is free of charge to area residents and local businesses. Items that are acceptable for recycling include laptops, desktops, computer accessories, TVs, monitors, audio/video equipment, mp3 players, communications equipment, servers and IT equipment, printers, scanners, copiers, fax machines, cell phones, PDAs, medical/lab equipment, and anything else with a circuit board or cord.
