Does the institution prioritize the use of native plant species in landscaping?:
Yes
A brief description of the native plant program, policy, or practice:
We focus on plants that are adapted to our climate and won't require a lot of maintenance. Often, this ends up being native species. We also try to plant species that are native to the area but threatened. In particular, we use black eyed susans throughout campus, and these are native to the region and on the endangered species list.
