The college has a dedicated Cutler Center for Student Success and Academic Achievement that welcomes all students. Their main programs include TRIO and Briton Path that help students from low income or minority backgrounds with financial literacy, scholarship advising and academic counseling.

Faculty and staff receive training to work with students from lower-income and minority backgrounds specifically.

Albion College recently joined the federally funded TRIO program. TRIO is a student support service that focuses on building community, developing strategies for academic success, and offer resources for continued learning well beyond college. Their mission is to increase retention and graduation rates at Albion. Students are given financial aid and literacy counseling, college success strategies, holistic advising, graduate school assistance and visits and post-college exploration.
The program is aimed at first generation students, students whose family's taxable income meets federal income eligibility guidelines or students with documented permanent physical or learning disability that impacts their educational experience.
