The Albion College Sustainability Committee is a joint faculty-staff-student committee that promotes sustainability, resiliency, environmental justice within the College and in relation to the broader Albion community. The Committee seeks to enhance our standing as a leader in sustainability in Michigan and beyond.

Re-initiated Sustainability Council in October 2020, signed the President's Climate Commitment, rejoined AASHE and working on STARS report. We are currently identifying data gaps and working towards finishing a comprehensive STARS and GHG report by next year. This will allow us to create a Climate Action Plan for the college.

The sustainability coordinator will work collaboratively with Facilities, Business Office, Presidents’ Office, faculty, students and community to coordinate effective sustainability initiatives that reduce Albion College’s impact on the environment. The student will assist in the development of a Climate Action Plan and analysis of greenhouse gas emissions for the college.
