Agnes Scott’s green cleaning program addresses environmental best practices for cleaning the interior of Agnes Scott buildings. The goal of the Green Cleaning Policy is to reduce the exposure of building occupants and maintenance personnel to potentially hazardous chemical, biological and particle contaminants, which adversely impact air quality, health, building finishes, building systems and the environment. This policy was first developed in support for the 2014 LEED Gold existing building certification submission and covers all of campus.

Agnes Scott’s part-time Energy Manager utilizes EnergyStar Portfolio Manager to track and analyze the college’s utility data. The Energy Manager, Center for Sustainability staff, and Facilities Staff meet monthly to review building level utility data prepared by the Energy Manager. Key issues are discussed, reviewed and assigned to Facilities staff for further investigation and/or repair. These monthly reports also inform the college’s Capital Improvement Committee and the projects proposed to the Green Revolving Fund Committee.

In alignment with Agnes Scott's holistic and intentional water conservation and performance assessment process, Agnes Scott’s part-time Energy Manager utilizes EnergyStar Portfolio Manager to track and analyze the college’s water performance data. The Energy Manager, Center for Sustainability staff, and Facilities Staff meet monthly to review building level water performance data prepared by the Energy Manager. Key issues are discussed, reviewed and assigned to Facilities staff for further investigation and/or repair. These monthly reports and discussions also inform the college’s Capital Improvement Committee and the projects proposed to the Green Revolving Fund Committee. Since 2014, the Green Revolving Fund has successfully funded 17 campus-wide energy efficiency and water conservation projects resulting in $1.7M in avoided utility costs.
