Does the institution have at least one building that is certified at the highest achievable level under a green building rating system?:
Narrative and/or website URL providing information about the institution’s certified high performance buildings:
Agnes Scott’s Rebekah Scott Hall received LEED Platinum certification in 2018, the highest possible certification from LEED. The 1905 structure underwent a major historic renovation in 2017-2018 and was awarded the 2019 Chairman’s Award for Excellence in Sustainable Rehabilitation from the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation. The renovation preserved the historic character of the building while prioritizing energy and water conservation measures and removing a surface parking lot and replacing it with a geothermal HVAC system and greenspace, all while meeting the present space use needs of the college. Rebekah Scott Hall is one of three LEED certified buildings on campus since 2009.
