Does the institution host a food bank, pantry, or equivalent resource focused on alleviating food insecurity, hunger and poverty among students?:
Yes
A brief description of the food bank, pantry, or equivalent resource:
Agnes Scott hosts a food pantry, primarily targeted at students. The program is run in collaboration between the Office of Residence Life, the Wellness Center, and the Chaplain’s office. In addition to providing food to students, the pantry also offers other necessary items, such as personal care and clothing items. The food pantry is located in Winship Hall and is always open during campus breaks so students can still access needed meals while the College’s dining hall is closed. Updates on the food pantry are provided through internal college communications.
