- the college's overarching policy that all new construction and renovation be completed to LEED Silver or greater, which includes ecological site planning as a component, and
- the City of Decatur's stormwater ordinance.

Currently the college works directly with the City of Decatur to both plan for and implement stormwater management. The link to the city ordinance is included below.
