AUS' lowest pay grade is Grade 2. The minimum (AED 2,999), Midpoint (AED 3083), and Maximum (AED 4,583). Other components of pay are listed below. Housing allowance- 45% of basic salary. Self-Directed Benefit Package (Option A)- 25% of basic salary. Health Insurance Subsidy- 36% of basic salary. Indemnity- 10% of basic salary. 33 working days of paid vacation per year. AUS undergraduate tuition remission for self and dependents. Shift allowance: AED 200 or 300. Overtime 1.25 basic wage rate for hours worked in excess of 48 hours per week.

As stated on the official UAE government website (https://u.ae/en/information-and-services/jobs/employment-in-the-private-sector/payment-of-wages) there is no minimum salary stipulated in the UAE Labour Law, however it broadly mentions that salaries must cover basic needs of the employees.

According to a website called "New Internationalist", the poverty rate in the UAE is defined as a daily income of less than 80 dirhams ($22), e.g. a monthly salary of 1,600 AED (440 USD).
