Higher Education Climate Dialogues

A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome that outlines how credit criteria are met and any positive measurable outcomes associated with the innovation:

The Higher Education Climate Dialogues (HECD) is a yearly student-organized/led conference jointly hosted by AUS and New York University-Abu Dhabi. It gathers students from various higher education institutions across the UAE, alongside distinguished experts and government officials, to foster meaningful discussions and provide capacity-building workshops. Taking place ahead of COP28 and COY18, both held in the UAE in 2023, this conference acted as a springboard, equipping students with the necessary tools to participate effectively in these prestigious international events. Following COP28, the HECD continued its mission by convening students and experts alike to explore avenues for youth to uphold and enhance the legacy of COP28.
