A brief description of any internal sustainability professional development and training opportunities that the institution makes available to non-academic staff:

The UAE Ministry of Education mandates that all non-academic staff complete a training on workplace health and safety. AUS developed a general training course for AUS employees titled "General Health and Safety Induction" that is available on the iLearn platform free of charge. It is a mandatory requirement to complete the training and sign a declaration form.


In addition, the AUS Employee Services Department at AUS has offered the following professional training courses related to sustainability during the academic years 22/23 and 23/24:

  • Cultural Intelligence

  • Dealing with Illness/Death of Loved Ones

  • Diabetes Awareness Session

  • Do you feel stress

  • Emotional Intelligence
