AUS Student Council: Our Student Union is dedicated to the continuous development and welfare of the AUS community. Consisting of 14 executive officers elected through campus-wide elections and three appointed committee members, the Student Council is the executive authority of the Student Union. Its mission is to represent the students and give them the opportunity to communicate their views. It provides resources for the various student organizations and clubs, offering guidance and support, in an attempt to build a generation that is established on the notions of teamwork, dedication and responsibility. The Student Council consists of the following posts: EXECUTIVE BOARD President Vice President Vice President for Public Relations Executive Secretary and Office Director Treasurer COMMUNITY OUTREACH COMMITTEE Events and Activities Coordinator Athletics and Sports Coordinator Communications and Media Coordinator Student Organizations and Campus Services Coordinator BOARD OF COLLEGES, SCHOOLS AND ACADEMIC PROGRAMS REPRESENTATIVES CAAD Representative SBA Representative CAS Representative CEN Representative AABP Representative SUBCOMMITTEE FOR STUDENT ACTIVITIES AND ORGANIZATIONS Leadership Program and Community Services Representative SUBCOMMITTEE FOR STUDENT RESIDENTIAL LIFE Women's Dormitories Coordinator Men's Dormitories Coordinator The Student Council serves a number of important functions, such as: allowing students to cast their views on all university issues utilizing opportunities to better serve the students' interests supporting students in their views and concerns looking after students' common interests initiating programs and projects that promote leadership and teamwork nurturing students' welfare in all fields keeping the AUS community up-to-date on events that affect it most solving students' problems effectively

The AUS Faculty Assembly is comprised of all full-time research and teaching faculty at AUS and has the authority to provide the administration with recommendations for policies regarding all aspects of academic life at AUS. Any changes to the AUS Faculty Handbook, which is the primary governing document for all faculty contracts at AUS, must be voted on by the Faculty Assembly. The Faculty Senate is an elected body of full-time teaching and research faculty from all four colleges that has the power to act on behalf of the faculty in all matters related to the educational policy and the effective administration of AUS.
