A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation (including how multiple dimensions of sustainability are addressed):
New Staff, at various point of the year depending on their hire date, are given a full day onboarding session where they are introduced to the various aspects of working at the university and AUS Sustainability gives a focused introduction of the concept of sustainable development, highlights of the AUS office, the team members and their responsibilities.
New faculty members, who mostly live on campus, are given sustainability updates both on the existence of the AUS Sustainability office via a structured presentation on the department as well as the sustainability initiatives that are involved with their housing ie. recycling.
